Four people (three young men and a baby girl) were baptized on the eve of Holy Theophany! Glory to God!

Anthony was baptized on Lazarus Saturday at St. Elizabeth's. Congratulations!

We were blessed to celebrate the Lord's Nativity this January 7th, followed immediately by Sunday after Nativity and our Very Rev. Fr. David's nameday. Many thanks to Nichole & Pavel L’vov who again opened their home for St Elizabeth’s Annual Christmas Party on Sunday after Nativity. It was a wonderful day of celebration and fellowship for all of us. May the Lord bless them!

We celebrated a Hierarchical Divine Liturgy on the Feast of our heavenly Patroness, the venerable Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth and the 24th anniversary of the founding of our parish. We were blessed and honored with the visit of Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan on this special day as he ordained our new Deacon Father Michael and tonsured Reader Timothy. Special thanks to all that helped with cleaning, decorating and setting up the trapeza and donating. S Prazdnikom!

Thank you to our parishioner that funded the acquisition of the new brass bell and those who helped in its installation. Special thank you to Rocky Hill FD and Montgomery FD for coordinated assistance in lifting it up to the belfry. God bless them!

Fr. David is away this weekend, but we will have services at the usual times.  Saturday night Vigil will be without a priest and done as a reader's service.  Sunday Liturgy will be served by Fr. Seraphim Chemodakov with confessions before the service.

Fr. John Strickland speaks on his book The Making of Holy Russia.  Fr. John was invited by the Forovsky society of Princeton University to give this talk.  Several of our parishoners attended as did others in the Orthodox community. Fr. John is a priest at St. John of Damascus Church and a professor at St. Katherine College. Fr. John has a podcast "Paradise and Utiopia" that's available from Ancient Faith Radio.

Our Last Service in our Chapel in Somerville was on Friday, 27 February 2004. Beginning with Saturday, 28 February 2004, all services will be in our new church building at 38 Princeton Avenue in Rocky Hill, New Jersey.

Through the mercy of God and the sacrifice of our faithful parishioners and some friends of our parish, St Elizabeth purchased the historic St James' Church at 38 Princeton Avenue in Rocky Hill, New Jersey, on 18 February 2004.

Fr David will be helping out at St Seraphim's Camp in Pennsylvania from Sunday, July 27th through Sunday, August 3rd. There *will* be Services at St Elizabeth's on the weekend of 26-27 July, as Fr David does not need to leave for Camp until after Liturgy. There will *not*, however, be Services at St. Elizabeth's on the weekend of 2-3 August due to the fact that Father will be needed at the Camp.

Fr David will be on vacation from Saturday, 19 July to Saturday, 26 July. There will be *no* services at St Elizabeth's on the weekend of 19-20 July. Please use this opportunity to attend church at another Orthodox parish in your area.

Our Parish's Patronal Feast, honouring our heavenly Intercessor, St Elizabeth the New-Martyr, is on Friday, 5/18 July. The Vigil Service will be served at 6 o'clock on Thursday evening and the Divine Liturgy at 9:30 on Friday morning. As on previous years, there will be a Festal Meal following the Liturgy at the Church Hall of Ss Peter & Paul Orthodox Chrch at 605 Washington Avenue in Manville. We expect several visitors this year from other parishes. Please make every effort to attend the services for this important Holy Day.

Fr David will be away at the conference from June 21st through June 22nd. There will be no Services at St. Elizabeth's due to his absence.
